The General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) came into force on the 25th May 2018. Essentially, it is designed to bring data protection into the modern age and applies to personal data me may hold about you, should you become a client. As such, we have summarised below your rights:
Right of Access
This is known as Subject Access Request (SAR). Anyone we hold data on is a Data Subject, and as such has the right to request a copy of that data.
Right to be forgotten
You have the right to request that we delete your data.
Right to data portability
You have the right to ask us to pass your data onto another organisation, such as a new adviser or employer.
Right to withdraw consent
You have the right to withdraw your consent to us holding your data
Right to be informed of data breaches
We must inform you within 72 hours of a data breach.
Right to data correction
You have the right to demand that we correct any inaccuracies we may have in the data we hold on you
Right to restrict processing
You can put restrictions on what we can do with your data
Right to make a complaint
You have the right to complain about any breaches of these rules
